Blogger Box Share

I recently took part in the #bloggerboxshare. I'm sure you have seen the hashtag floating around Twitter and if not ... Where have you been?!

I was paired with the lovely Louise from louiseroserailton (Go and check out her awesome blog) It's hard enough buying presents for your friends and family .. Never mind buying for someone you've never even met before! But it was such a fun challenge and I enjoyed reading through her blog and tweets to find out what she liked. (I'm not a stalker, honest)

I received my box yesterday and I love what was in it! I was super excited when I saw a Lush packet, since I don't live near a Lush so don't get to go often. I was that excited that I got a little carried away and forgot to take a photo before putting it in my bath! Luckily, I am saving half for another bath, so I did get a picture of half of it. I got the Rose Jam bath bomb. It smells amazing and it was so nice to relax in a nice Lush bath!

I also got some chocolate boxes and who doesn't love chocolate?!

A little hand warmer water bottle, how cute is that?! And some Orange blossom and Ginger hand lotion which smells amazing and leaves my hand feeling lovely and soft.

And finally, I got this super adorable stationary set. Inside it has some little cards and envelopes for me to use. How pretty is the glittery box?

Thankyou Louise for all my amazing gifts! I love them all! :) And Thankyou to Becky and Ms Mistry for setting the bloggerboxshare up. It's such a brilliant idea and is really fun. It's a great way to make more blogging friends!

Have you taken part in any box shares?

Have a great day and don't forget to smile :)

Are you a cat person or a dog person?

There is a lot of controversy about this question ... Cats or Dogs? Me personally, I love them both! As you may already know, I currently have a cat and I love him to pieces, but I also really want a puppy and hopefully soon will be getting one!

Today I am going to go through the pros and cons about having a pet dog or a pet cat.

Cats - Pro's
Cats are very independent animals, which means they can look after themselves for longer periods of time.

Cats clean themselves, which means you don't have to struggle getting your cat into the bath for a wash. (Unless, of course, your cat likes water and so enjoys having a bath like mine)

You can let a cat out and they will wander off themselves and come home when they please. So in the colder and wetter months, you don't have to worry about going out of your warm, cosy house to walk them.

They don't need constant attention.

Cats keep your home and garden free from pests.

Dogs -Pro's
Dogs are very loving animals and will become your best friend. They are great companions and are very faithful to their owner. You will always have someone who is happy to see you when you come through the door after a long day at work.

They give you an excuse to get out of the house and stay fit by walking them.

They can become very protective of you and guard your home when you are not there.

They come in all different sizes so there is something for everyone.

Dogs can learn tricks and commands.

Cats - Cons
Cats like to be high up, so you have to train them to stay off your counter tops and tables.

They can be very moody animals. They will let you stroke and pet them but will let you know when they've had enough.

Cats bond to an area rather than a person so could be a problem if you move house.

They can be let out and won't return for days, worrying you sick because you don't know where they are.

Cats, especially kittens, have very sharp claws which can be dangerous when playing and also ruin your furniture.

Dogs - Cons
Dogs bark. Which can possibly make them a problem in your neighbourhood.

They don't bury their mess, which means you have to pick it up after them.

Dogs can become aggressive towards people or other dogs which normally results in biting.

Some breeds of dog require regular trips to the groomers. Which, in time, can become a big expense.

Dogs require regular excercise. Which means taking them for walks rain or shine. If they don't get regular excercise they can become bored and destructive.

Which ever pet you choose, make sure to do research on it first so you know exactly how to look after them properly.

Which do you prefer? Are you a cat person ... Or a dog person? Or do you like both?

I'd love to hear your opinions!

Have a great day and don't forget to smile :)

Face Lotion Review

I have taken a short break from blogging, but now I am back and ready to go! :)

I have already done two reviews for some products from AA Skincare. When they emailed my again a couple of weeks ago asking if I would like to review another one of their amazing products, I obviously said yes! If you have read my other reviews, you will know that I have loved both the products they have sent for me to review, so I wasn't going to turn this one down!
This time, I was asked to review their Lavender and Tea Tree Face Lotion. As usual, it came in a cute little bottle that you can easily fit in your makeup bag or handbag.

Quoted from the website, 'A naturally effective face lotion that hydrates, protects and restores the skin.
This light and readily absorbed lotion not only moisturises but helps to tone and restore your skin. Naturally antibacterial, antiseptic and antifungal, making it perfect for acne prone skin, spots, blemishes and other abrasions and can help skin heal.
Effective as a protective daily moisturiser as part of your regular skincare routine.
A reassuring faintly medicinal aroma with a herby Lavender top note.'
The Tea Tree in this face lotion can benefit skin conditions and is an excellent treatment for acne. Besides improving your skin, tea tree has all kinds of other health properties and it is a potent healer.
I have been using this face lotion now for just over a week and my skin looks and feels so much better than before! Since using it, I haven't had any breakouts (touch wood) and I was always getting them horrible under the skin painful spots on my face!

I honestly cannot rave about this face lotion enough .. it has done wonders for my skin! It currently has £1.40 off so you can get it yourself for only £5.56!
If you would like to check it out for yourself, here is the link: http://www.aaskincare.co.uk/ourproducts
Or the link to take you to the full website:
You can also find AA Skincare on social media:
*I got sent an item for free to review on my blog, but all opinions are my own*

Fall Inspired Crafts

I don't know about you, but this year I am really excited for Autumn! Big wooly jumpers, thick socks, boots, autumnal colours and smells (cinnamon and apple etc), cosy nights, but I am especially excited about all of the fall crafts I am going to make!

I have been browsing through Pinterest at all the amazing crafts I can make, and I am going to share with you some of the ones I found that I am really looking forward to making.

Stenciled Leaf Mug

This fun and simple craft is perfect for Autumn. Your own personalised autumnal mug that looks cute and you will be the only person that has it! Perfect for hot chocolates!

Leaf Tea Light Jar

This craft is different, easy and inexpensive to make. It will be beautiful on a cold night and create a relaxing, autumnal coloured dim light to your room!

Sculpted Glitter Autumn Acorns

Put these in a jar around a candle or even by themselves for a beautiful decoration during fall. I absolutely love the colours of these glittery acorns!

Leaf Prints

This is another simple and inexpensive craft idea. You get to choose some of your favourite autumn leaves to put in them too!

Ombre Pine Cones

Simple yet effective. You can use autumnal colours on the pine cones and hang them up as a garland, along your mantelpiece or just on your wall. They will look good anywhere!

Autumn Scent

Fill your home with the scent of autumn. You can use whatever your favourite autumnal scents are to bring the beautiful smell into your home!

I am so excited to be able to make these crafts. When I do make them, rest assured that there will be a blog post to follow. I can't wait to see how they turn out!

Are you going to be making any fall inspired crafts? I'd love to know!

Have a great day and don't forget to smile :)

Summer Wishlist - Update

Back in March when I first started my blog, one of my posts was a 'Summer Wishlist'. At the end of the post I said that I would get back to you when summer is over and go through what was on there and what I actually managed to get! So lets go through it..

1. Something Aztec
The first thing on my list was something aztec, as I love the patterns. I did manage to get something aztec, so I can tick this one off my list!

2. Cut out buckle chelsea style boots
Another one I can tick of my list as I also picked some of these up! I was originally going for a plain black pair, but I really like the monochrome ones I got instead.

3. A dungaree/pinafore dress
Unfortunately, I still haven't managed to get one of these. If any of you know where I could find one, please let me know!

4. A Polaroid camera
Nope. Still not got one. I did manage to get a normal camera, but still not got a polaroid one. YET. I am still hopefully going to get one someday!

5. Midi rings
Another one I can tick off! I did get some midi rings and I love them! Just need to get a few more to add to my collection now!

*Picture from google images. Not my hand or rings*

I think 3 out of 5 isn't that bad! Would loved to have got everything from my wishlist, but unfortunately, I didn't. Lets hope next year I can do better!

Did you manage to get everything from your summer wishlist this year?
