Face Lotion Review

I have taken a short break from blogging, but now I am back and ready to go! :)

I have already done two reviews for some products from AA Skincare. When they emailed my again a couple of weeks ago asking if I would like to review another one of their amazing products, I obviously said yes! If you have read my other reviews, you will know that I have loved both the products they have sent for me to review, so I wasn't going to turn this one down!
This time, I was asked to review their Lavender and Tea Tree Face Lotion. As usual, it came in a cute little bottle that you can easily fit in your makeup bag or handbag.

Quoted from the website, 'A naturally effective face lotion that hydrates, protects and restores the skin.
This light and readily absorbed lotion not only moisturises but helps to tone and restore your skin. Naturally antibacterial, antiseptic and antifungal, making it perfect for acne prone skin, spots, blemishes and other abrasions and can help skin heal.
Effective as a protective daily moisturiser as part of your regular skincare routine.
A reassuring faintly medicinal aroma with a herby Lavender top note.'
The Tea Tree in this face lotion can benefit skin conditions and is an excellent treatment for acne. Besides improving your skin, tea tree has all kinds of other health properties and it is a potent healer.
I have been using this face lotion now for just over a week and my skin looks and feels so much better than before! Since using it, I haven't had any breakouts (touch wood) and I was always getting them horrible under the skin painful spots on my face!

I honestly cannot rave about this face lotion enough .. it has done wonders for my skin! It currently has £1.40 off so you can get it yourself for only £5.56!
If you would like to check it out for yourself, here is the link: http://www.aaskincare.co.uk/ourproducts
Or the link to take you to the full website:
You can also find AA Skincare on social media:
*I got sent an item for free to review on my blog, but all opinions are my own*

My Pamper Evening Routine

Every girl, or boy, loves a good pamper night, but everybody's meaning of pamper is different. Today I am going to share my pamper routine with you.

My pamper nights always start off with a nice hot bubble bath. And if I have a bath bomb, that will get thrown in there too. (Not literally) I like to get in the bath and just relax for a while, sometimes with a good book. (Now would be the time that I would have a glass of wine, maybe with some strawberries in ... but I don't drink) When I've chilled out and relaxed for a while, I get my favourite body scrub and exfoliate. Then I go over with a normal shower gel. When I'm finished, I get out of the bath, dry off, apply a body lotion and put some comfy clothes on.

I will then use a face mask. I normally use Tea Tree & Witch Hazel peel off face mask. While that is drying, I will paint my nails. Once I've finished my nails and the face mask is dry, I peel off the face mask and then use toner and moisturizer on my face.

When all of this is done and I feel all pampered and relaxed, I like to get comfy on the sofa and put on a good film. I usually get some Ben & Jerrys ice cream to eat while watching the film, as I don't have pamper nights that often. So why not treat yourself when you do?!

And that's my pamper routine! Well I say routine, I don't stick to it religiously every time I have a pamper night. I sometimes like to change things up a bit. But this is basically how it normally goes.

If you have any face mask suggestions .. Let me know! I'd love to try some new ones!

Have a great day and don't forget to smile :)

I Reverse Washed My Hair!

I'm one of those people who can spend hours on the internet looking at make-up tutorials, skincare routines and ways to make your hair better. Basically anything beauty!

The other week I was browsing through the web, when I came across a little article. It was about 'Reverse Washing' your hair. Like I was, you may be intrigued to find out what 'Reverse Washing' means. Well, it's where you wash your hair with conditioner and then shampoo. I tried it, and I'm going to tell you my experience with reverse washing my hair.

I wet my hair and got in the bath. I then covered my hair in conditioner and clipped it up so it didn't get in the water. Then I went on and did the usual things (washed, shaved my legs etc) leaving the conditioner in. When I was ready to get out, I took my hair down and covered it in shampoo (without washing the conditioner out). So basically you are washing the conditioner out with shampoo. I then lathered and rinsed and went about my normal routine.

Here's a quick rundown:
1. Wet your hair
2. Cover your hair in conditioner
3. Leave in for a few minutes, or until you have done washing etc
4. Cover your hair in shampoo
5. Lather and rinse

*DO NOT RINSE OUT THE CONDITIONER BEFORE YOU PUT THE SHAMPOO IN

I did think my hair would be knotty because I hadn't used conditioner last, but actually it was really easy to get through. And I'm not going to lie, my hair felt and looked amazing! It was really soft and shiny and just looked better than normal. I've decided to do this once a week, or on days where I need my hair to look exceptionally nice.

I had never heard of this before I found this article, and I'm so glad I found it!

If you've ever tried washing your hair this way, how did it work out for you? I'd also love to know if you try it out after reading this post!

Have a great day and don't forget to smile :)

AA Skincare Review // Lemongrass & Lavender Deodorant

A few weeks ago I was asked to do another review for the amazing AA Skincare. If you haven't heard of them, you can click here to go to their website, or here to go to my last post for them, where I reviewed their soothing eye gel.

In todays post I am going to be reviewing their Lemongrass & Lavender natural deodorant

Deodorants that you can buy at your local supermarkets are not natural deodorants. Many antiperspirants contain ingredients and chemicals that can be irritating to your skin and clog your pores. This can stop your skin from breathing, therefore causing skin infections or spots.

AA Skincares natural deodorants will allow your skin to breath and provide all day protection against body odor, leaving you feeling and smelling fresh. They are made with carefully selected naturally deodorising pure essential oils that look after your skin. They don't contain any of the harmful ingredients that most antiperspirants do.

They have three different deodorants to choose from, all with different scents. I decided to go for the Lemongrass & Lavender scent. It has a light citrusy aroma, and comes as a little roll on deodorant which is perfect for precise application, and you don't have to worry about any wastage. It does take a little while to dry, but so do all roll on deodorants. By the end of the day I am still left feeling fresh, and most importantly, I can still smell the citrusy scent! Seriously, the aroma lasts all day, which is a massive plus!

I would definitely recommend these deodorants, as natural ingredients are always a better choice. I found my skin felt softer after using this deodorant, so I think I will be sticking to it from now on.

Go over to their website and have a look for yourself by clicking on the link: http://www.aaskincare.co.uk/deodorants
Or you can go to their full website to check out all the other natural products they sell: http://www.aaskincare.co.uk/

Nail Tutorial #4

I love doing my nails and making them look pretty with different patterns and nail art, but recently I've not been doing them that much. As I have had a week off work this week, I decided I would get back into doing my nails again! If you have followed my blog from the beginning, you will know that I started my blog off by doing nail art tutorials .. In fact my first 4 posts are all about nails! If you haven't seen them, here is my first ever post - Easy Nail Art Tutorial

This time I decided to keep it simple and just put a pattern on my ring finger as an accent nail. Here's what I did..

First of all I put a base coat on my nails and then I painted them all white. This is optional, but I think painting them white before adding colour makes the colour pop more!

Once the white nail varnish was dry, I painted my thumb, pointer and middle finger nails a light pink, and I painted my pinkie nail light green. I did two coats on each finger, just to make sure they all had full coverage.

For my accent nail, I painted the bottom corner of my nail (nearest my little finger) green, then I used my dotting tool and made three dots at the top of the green polish, and four smaller dots in pink just above it.

I then went back to my white nail polish and made three dots on the green polish, and last but not least, I put four smaller pink dots on top of the white dots.

I then went over all of my nails with a top coat and I was done!

Do you like doing your nails?

Thank you for stopping by to have a read of my blog, whether your new or you've been here before, I'd love to know what you think!

Much Love..

AA Skincare // Review

Amphora Aromatics were kind enough to send me a product from their new natural skin care range to try out and review. They sent me the Seaweed & Aloe Refreshing Eye Gel and I have too say ... I am loving it!

The AA Skincare range combines essential oils with classic natural ingredients to create products that make you look and feel gorgeous. They have a wide range of different skincare products that suit every skin type. With over 30 years experience in aromatherapy and natural skincare, they were able to create naturally effective products to keep your skin happy and healthy.

The Seaweed & Aloe Refreshing Eye Gel that I received came beautifully packaged and comes with a pump so it is easy to get the perfect amount without wasting any. It is suitable for all skin types - especially sensitive skin. The gel is light and soothing and quickly soaks into your skin, leaving your skin feeling refreshed and smooth. It came in a 50ml bottle, so is the perfect size to keep in your handbag, or in your hand luggage if you are travelling!

Uses
  • Gently removes eye make-up
  • Helps sooth and cool tired eyes
  • Restores the sensitive skin around your eyes
I have been using this at night time to remove my eye make-up and and soothe my eyes after a long day, and in the morning to restore the skin around my eyes and make me look more awake. I pump some onto a cotton pad and smooth it underneath my eyes and on my eyelids, I then take a dry cotton pad and gently wipe my eyes. It leaves my skin feeling smooth and has made my skin glow! I would highly recommend this product to anybody! And at only £6.96 a bottle, you can't go wrong. You are definitely getting your monies worth and more!

If you want to try this eye gel out for yourself .. you can purchase it by clicking here, and if you would like to see their range of other products, you can find them at http://www.aaskincare.co.uk/

I would like to thank Amphora Aromatics for sending me this product. I am definitely a fan!

Have you tried any products from this range?

*I was sent this product to review with my unbiased opinion. Everything I have written here is my own honest opinion*

Bath and Body // Soap&Glory ❤

Hi lovelies! I don't know about you, but I am absoloutly loving Soap&Glory at the minute! It smells amazing and leaves your skin feeling super smooth! Three of the things I've bought to try out are as follows..

Soap&Glory - Flake Away
This is a Shea Butter, Sugar and Peach Seed body polish. You apply onto damp skin and massage in circular motions until most of the grains are gone, rinse well and then your done! This smells so good and I can't wait to try it out! This cost me £2.50 from boots and it is a 50ml tub.

Soap&Glory - The Righteous Butter
This is a body moisturizer with softening Shea Butter and Aloe Vera. After you've had a shower or bath and used the Flake Away, you smooth this onto damp skin and massage until it all sinks in. This is the same scent as the Flake Away and was also £2.50 from boots. I got the 50ml tub in this too.

Soap&Glory - Hand Food
As you can tell from the name, this is a hand cream. Its non-greasy with Shea Butter, Macadamia oil and Marshmallow. You can use this hand cream as often as you like to soften, smooth and soothe dry, chapped or otherwise hampered hands. It leaves your skin feeling so smooth and smells amazing! I also got this in the 50ml bottle and I got this one for free because, as you probably all know, boots has a 3 for 2 offer which is great!

I hope you liked reading this post!

What products are you loving at the moment? Any suggestions on what I should try out?

Feel free to leave comments or follow and you can also find me on twitter at @cloudsinup!

Deep Relaxation - Floatation Tanks

Hi everyone!

I hope you're all having a great weekend!

Today, I thought I would write a post about something I would love to try out, but haven't got round to yet. Some of you may already know about these .. and some of you may not, but either way, I am going to tell you about Floatation Tanks. What it is and all the amazing benefits that come from using them. I hope you enjoy!

Floatation Tanks were first used in 1954 to test the effects of sensory deprivation. They are now also used for meditation and relaxation and in alternative medicine.

Image result for floatation tank

The Floatation Tank contains a super-saturated Epsom Salt solution, which is about 25cm deep. This creates an environment similar to that of the Dead Sea, which lets you float effortlessly on water and enjoy a feeling of weightlessness.

The water is heated to skin temperature, so once you are settled, it almost impossible to tell which parts of your body are under water, and which aren't. This tricks your brain into thinking your floating in mid-air. The Epsom Salt solution effectively removes the effects of gravity on the body, making you feel almost completely weightless. This lets every single muscle in your body fully relax.

As the tanks are soundproof and the lights are either a calming blue or completely switched off, your mind will drift into a deep state of relaxation. These are the perfect place to have some much needed 'me' time. You have no distractions and you can forget about your problems or worries for a while and just relax. By yourself.

Now you will need to use these a few times before you can completely relax, but there are ALOT of beneficial effects from Floating. If I wrote them all, this post would probably never end (or I would be sat here for a very long time) so here are just a few;

  • Improves Sleep
  • Alleviates stress (mental and physical)
  • Increases motivation, diminishes depression, anxiety and fear
  • Facilitates freedom from habits, phobias and addictions
  • Relieves pain - arthritis, migraines, injuries and so on
  • Reduces blood pressure
  • Helps prevent sports injuries, speeds healing process
  • Improves skin condition
It costs around £45 for an hour of Floating time, which may seem like a long time, but it apparently goes alot quicker once your in there. With all the benefits it has, I think that it is well worth the money.

I would love to hear if any of you have tried a Float Tank, and what you thought of it? Did you enjoy it? Did you feel the benefits?

If you would like to know more about Floating, or read into more detail, you can click here.

Thank-you for taking your time to stop by my blog. I hoped you enjoyed today's post! :)

Speak soon..

Disclaimer: I was not paid to write this post ... I am just really interested in Float Tanks and how they work.

Shopping Haul

Hi everyone!

Welcome back to One Girls Obsessions, or if your new, welcome! I hope your all having a great weekend! :)

So I've seen lots of 'Hauls' on different blogs and vlogs and I thought it would be fun to do one myself! This is my first 'Shopping Haul' post, so if it's not perfect, I apologize in advance. I'll try my best to do it right! Anyway, I'm going to stop rambling on now and get started!

I live in a small town in the East Midlands of England and there really is not that many shops to shop at. 😢 But I'm going to share with you a few bits I did manage to pick up in town.

So the first thing I bought was Tea tree & Witch hazel Cleansing and Toning Lotion. All you do is soak a cotton wool pad and smooth it over your face. Reapeat this step until your face is completely clean. Use it morning and night for best results and follow with your favourite moisturiser. It gives your skin a deep cleansing without over drying and helps unblock your pores. It leaves your skin feeling refreshed and very soft!
Boots - £3.59

The cleansing and toning lotion had an offer on ... Buy one get one free. So I also picked up tea tree & witch hazel Peel off Face Mask. You apply a layer evenly over your face and leave for 10-15 minutes. Peel off and rinse with warm water to remove any remains. I haven't tried this product yet but I'm looking forward to see how it is!

The next thing I picked up was batiste dry shampoo. I asked on twitter how to add more volume to my hair and I had a reply telling me dry shampoo was great at adding volume. So I picked some up. I have tried this and was very pleased with the results. I will definitely be buying this again! I picked up the fruity and cheeky cherry one and I love it! So thanks DutyOfBeauty for the suggestion! :) (You can check out DutyOfBeautys blog here.)
Savers - £1.99

As I was browsing through the isles, I saw Simple eye make-up corrector pen. I just had to get this as I always manage to get mascara on my skin when applying it to my lower lashes! With a precision tip it is easy to use and gets rid of any mistakes you may make without ruining your make-up.
Savers - £1.00

Finally, I had to pick these bracelets up when I saw them. They are cute and colourful and I love them! Adding bits of jewellery to your outfits can really set it off! These are perfect for summer and I can't wait to wear them!
Peacocks - £4.00

So that's it for my Shopping Haul post. Just to let you know I will definitely be doing another post like this as I've enjoyed doing it!

Let me know what you think and if you liked it!

Thanks for stopping by to have a read!

Speak again soon! :)

Nail Designs

Hi everyone!! :)

Hope your all having a good day!

In todays post I thought I would share with you some of the nail designs I have used, that I did before I started blogging. So I don't have a tutorial for them but I will let you know for each one where I found them so if you like them you can head over and check out the tutorials! :)

N°1 -

I love this one as it is simple enough to do yet looks effective. When I did my nails like this alot of people complimented them and it's always nice when someone compliments your work! :) You can mix and match the colours to your liking and I just think this design is really cute and different! If you like it, you can find the tutorial here.

N°2 -
This one I really like because it's fun and bright. It looks like 3D circles, the way the black slightly shows behind the white circles. Again, you can choose any colour nail varnish for this design. You can find the tutorial for this one here.

N°3 -
This is probably my favourite desgn out of the four. It's cute and girly and perfect for the warmer months. I like how the gold glitter polish on the ring finger goes perfectly with the pink and white. And the little dotted bow is just adorable! If you want to try this design out, click here for the tutorial.

N°4 -
Last but not least, a nail design that I have just done today. There is no tutorial for this one as I just did it off the top of my head. Its simple though, just paint your thumb, pointer and pinky fingers a soild colour, and then paint your middle and ring finger nails white. Add multi coloured dots to the white nails and two black dots with smaller white dots inside on your other nails. Done! I love the colours of this design and just think it looks cute and perfect for summer time!

I hope you enjoyed this post and if you did be sure to click the follow button! :)

Let me know what you think and share your photos if you've tried or try any of the designs. I'd love to see your variations!

Thankyou for reading!
