My Pamper Evening Routine

Every girl, or boy, loves a good pamper night, but everybody's meaning of pamper is different. Today I am going to share my pamper routine with you.

My pamper nights always start off with a nice hot bubble bath. And if I have a bath bomb, that will get thrown in there too. (Not literally) I like to get in the bath and just relax for a while, sometimes with a good book. (Now would be the time that I would have a glass of wine, maybe with some strawberries in ... but I don't drink) When I've chilled out and relaxed for a while, I get my favourite body scrub and exfoliate. Then I go over with a normal shower gel. When I'm finished, I get out of the bath, dry off, apply a body lotion and put some comfy clothes on.

I will then use a face mask. I normally use Tea Tree & Witch Hazel peel off face mask. While that is drying, I will paint my nails. Once I've finished my nails and the face mask is dry, I peel off the face mask and then use toner and moisturizer on my face.

When all of this is done and I feel all pampered and relaxed, I like to get comfy on the sofa and put on a good film. I usually get some Ben & Jerrys ice cream to eat while watching the film, as I don't have pamper nights that often. So why not treat yourself when you do?!

And that's my pamper routine! Well I say routine, I don't stick to it religiously every time I have a pamper night. I sometimes like to change things up a bit. But this is basically how it normally goes.

If you have any face mask suggestions .. Let me know! I'd love to try some new ones!

Have a great day and don't forget to smile :)

I Reverse Washed My Hair!

I'm one of those people who can spend hours on the internet looking at make-up tutorials, skincare routines and ways to make your hair better. Basically anything beauty!

The other week I was browsing through the web, when I came across a little article. It was about 'Reverse Washing' your hair. Like I was, you may be intrigued to find out what 'Reverse Washing' means. Well, it's where you wash your hair with conditioner and then shampoo. I tried it, and I'm going to tell you my experience with reverse washing my hair.

I wet my hair and got in the bath. I then covered my hair in conditioner and clipped it up so it didn't get in the water. Then I went on and did the usual things (washed, shaved my legs etc) leaving the conditioner in. When I was ready to get out, I took my hair down and covered it in shampoo (without washing the conditioner out). So basically you are washing the conditioner out with shampoo. I then lathered and rinsed and went about my normal routine.

Here's a quick rundown:
1. Wet your hair
2. Cover your hair in conditioner
3. Leave in for a few minutes, or until you have done washing etc
4. Cover your hair in shampoo
5. Lather and rinse

*DO NOT RINSE OUT THE CONDITIONER BEFORE YOU PUT THE SHAMPOO IN

I did think my hair would be knotty because I hadn't used conditioner last, but actually it was really easy to get through. And I'm not going to lie, my hair felt and looked amazing! It was really soft and shiny and just looked better than normal. I've decided to do this once a week, or on days where I need my hair to look exceptionally nice.

I had never heard of this before I found this article, and I'm so glad I found it!

If you've ever tried washing your hair this way, how did it work out for you? I'd also love to know if you try it out after reading this post!

Have a great day and don't forget to smile :)

My favourite quotes

Don't you just love a good quote?! When you're feeling down or not yourself, an inspirational quote is always good to cheer you up and normally make you see that things will get better with time. Today I am going to share with you some of my favourite quotes.

'In the end, we only regret the chances we didn't take'
Learn to say yes more often. If a once in a lifetime opportunity comes up, take it. You don't want to look back on your life and wish you had done more. Take chances and live your life to the fullest!

'You can't start the next chapter of your life if you keep re-reading the last one'
Stop worrying about your past. The past is the past, it can't be changed now. Think about the future. The future is all that matters. You can't change your past .. but you can shape your future.

'Life begins at the end of your comfort zone'
If you stay in your comfort zone your whole life .. it will be boring! Don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and try new things! Chances are, you will enjoy most of the things you try.

'Adults are only kids grown up, anyway'
Why should you stop having fun, just because you are an adult? Thats all adults really are ... big kids. Don't give up on your dreams or not do something because you think you're too old, You are never to old follow your dreams! Which leads me to the next quote...

'Growing old is mandatory, but growing up is optional'
Says it all in the last quote.

And last but not least..

Have a great day and don't forget to smile :)

Sisterhood of the world Blogger Award

I absolutely love getting nominated for Blogger Awards as it means people are reading my blog, which makes me very happy! I would like to thank the lovely India, owner of Prettypalepeople, for nominating me for this award! Her blog is about (as she says herself) 'Beauty and Fashion with dashings of life thrown in', and if you haven't already, you should definitely go and check her blog out!

1. Thank and link the blogger that nominated you
2. Answer the 10 questions the nominator has provided
3. Nominate 10 bloggers of your choice
4. Create 10 questions for your nominees and notify them of their nomination

Questions from India:

1. What is your favourite cocktail? If you don't drink, mocktail?
To be honest, I've not really explored the world of cocktails. I know, I'm boring. But from the cocktails I have tried, I think I'd have to say .. Sex on the beach. Its a blend of Vodka, Cranberry juice, Peach schnapps and Orange juice. Let me know in the comments what cocktails I need to try!

2. Do you prefer to eat savoury or sweet?
Both. It really depends what mood I am in at the time.

3. Whats your favourite book and why?
My favourite author is Annie Groves. My favourite book of hers up to now is Ellie Pride. I love reading romance stories based in World War 1 and 2. Its so interesting to see how people lived back then and I always get so involved in her books and feel like I know the characters. Ellie Pride is a beautiful book and I didn't want it to end! I just wish they would make it into a film now!

4. Describe the best day of your life so far.
I think the best day of my life so far was on my 19th birthday. I was in DisneyLand and on my birthday we decided to go into Paris for the day and climb the Eiffel Tower. It was an amazing experience and one that I will never forget!

5. Why did you start blogging/what inspired you to start blogging?
I started blogging because I wanted somewhere that I could write about everything I love and share with everyone my love for crafts, Travel, Beauty and pretty much everything that is on my blog! I started reading a few blogs before I actually made my own, and all of those people who had created beautiful content and who you could tell loved the things they were writing about inspired me to start blogging.

6. Who is your fave blogger and why?
My favourite bloggers at the moment are Elsie and Emma from A Beautiful Mess. Their blog covers home decor projects, crafts, recipes and lifestyle. I just love reading their posts and their blog is so user friendly and easy to navigate through. You should definitely go and have a browse!

7. Where would your dream destination for the holiday of a lifetime be?
There are soo many places I would love to travel to and visit it's going to be hard to choose just one! But for the sake of this question I am going to say Bora Bora. It is in the French Polynesia and it looks absoloutly beautiful. With white sandy beaches and crystal clear blue water, it would be a dream to go there! Does anybody want to lend me £3000 so I can go?

8. Why do you love your BFF?
I don't actually have a 'BFF'. I would say my sister is my best friend. Just because she is always there for me no matter what and I can talk to her about anything. And also when we are together, we are like children again! She is just fun to be around and always knows how to make me smile :)

9.What are your dreams/goals for the future?
My dreams/goals for the future are to hopefully earn enough money to leave my job and travel the world. I know everyone says they would love to travel, but it is something I am working towards doing. I also want to start a YouTube channel to go alongside my blog, so hopefully that will be happening soon!

AA Skincare Review // Lemongrass & Lavender Deodorant

A few weeks ago I was asked to do another review for the amazing AA Skincare. If you haven't heard of them, you can click here to go to their website, or here to go to my last post for them, where I reviewed their soothing eye gel.

In todays post I am going to be reviewing their Lemongrass & Lavender natural deodorant

Deodorants that you can buy at your local supermarkets are not natural deodorants. Many antiperspirants contain ingredients and chemicals that can be irritating to your skin and clog your pores. This can stop your skin from breathing, therefore causing skin infections or spots.

AA Skincares natural deodorants will allow your skin to breath and provide all day protection against body odor, leaving you feeling and smelling fresh. They are made with carefully selected naturally deodorising pure essential oils that look after your skin. They don't contain any of the harmful ingredients that most antiperspirants do.

They have three different deodorants to choose from, all with different scents. I decided to go for the Lemongrass & Lavender scent. It has a light citrusy aroma, and comes as a little roll on deodorant which is perfect for precise application, and you don't have to worry about any wastage. It does take a little while to dry, but so do all roll on deodorants. By the end of the day I am still left feeling fresh, and most importantly, I can still smell the citrusy scent! Seriously, the aroma lasts all day, which is a massive plus!

I would definitely recommend these deodorants, as natural ingredients are always a better choice. I found my skin felt softer after using this deodorant, so I think I will be sticking to it from now on.

Go over to their website and have a look for yourself by clicking on the link: http://www.aaskincare.co.uk/deodorants

5 Ways To Stay Motivated

As you may know, it's not always easy to stay motivated all the time. No matter what you are working on, or how much you enjoy it, there are bound to be days where you really don't feel like doing it. There will also be days where all of your energy and emotions are in the gutter, but all of these fluctuations are part of life. Everybody, at some point, will go through them. Recently I have been finding it quite difficult to get motivated, so today I thought I would write a post on 5 ways to stay motivated, even when you don't feel like it!
1. Set Goals
Whether that be to save a certain amount of money, to achieve something or to stick to a schedule, goals are a great way to keep you motivated. If you try and take on too much though, it will drain your energy and therefore leave you unmotivated. So stick to one goal at a time, and when you have achieved it, make another.

2. Think about the Benefits
Don't think about how hard something is, instead think about what you will get of it. For example, don't think about how tiring exercising can be, focus on how good you will feel when your done, or don't think about how hard it can be to keep up a blog. think about all the people you could be helping or inspiring. Thinking of the benefits of something will help energize you.

3. Find Inspiration
Inspiration can come from anything. Whether it's a person who has achieved what you are working to achieve, reading other peoples blogs, books or magazines, even just going for a walk and clearing your head can spark some inspiration.

4. Stick with it
Even if you are not feeling motivated, don't give up. That motivation will come back to you. Think of your goals as a long road, each time you are not motivated, you have hit a bump, but  don't let that bump stop you from completing your journey. If you stick with it, you will get there in the end and the benefits will definitely be worth all of your hard work!

5. Reward yourself
Break up your goal. Start with easier tasks and once you have completed that step/task which gets you closer to achieving your goal, reward yourself with something.

I hope that at least one of these ideas will help someone who is feeling unmotivated or uninspired to carry on what they are doing and to help them get back on track to getting where they want to be!

If you have any other ways of keeping motivated, I would love to know! Leave me a comment or find me on Twitter (@cloudsinup) and let me know.

Much Love..
