Illusions // My 3D Cartoon Satchel ❤

Hi lovlies! :) Today's post is just a short one. But I just had to share it with you!

Last year, at the end of summer, I bought a bag. Not just any old bag. But a 2D satchel cartoon bag that looks 3D!! I absoloutly love it. It's just so cute and quirky and when I sent my sister a photo, she thought I had added it onto my photo from a clipart on a photo editor!

Last year I didn't really get to use it that much, but now that summer is arriving, it's the perfect time to get it back out and put some use to it!

It's actually a bag for your iPad or laptop (it's very thin) and my boyfriend has currently purchased a net book, which is the perfect size!

I got this bag off Ebay for £11.99.

Here it is...

So that is today's post. I hope you enjoyed it, even though it was a short one!

Let me know what you think or if you have a bag like this?!

Thanks for reading :)

Travel // DisneyLand Paris

Hello lovely people! Todays post is all about my first trip to DisneyLand Paris! :) If you haven't been yet ... you need to go! It is amazing, you wouldn't regret it. Even if you don't like rides .. it is still an amazing atmosphere and experience. And who doesn't love Disney?!

Back in 2011 when I was 18, I went to DisneyLand for the first time! I think as an adult, you appreciate it more. Don't get me wrong, I would have loved to have gone as a child and been able to meet all my favourite Disney characters, but even as an adult, I still found it so magical and overwhelming!

We went for my 19th birthday and I loved it! Since my birthday is at the end of the year, it was Christmas time in DisneyLand. It was so beautiful. All the decorations and lights, and the christmas tree was amazing! I could literally sit here all day and talk about how much fun I had and what a magical place it is to go, but instead I will show you some photos I took whilst I was there so you can see for yourself!

Space Mountain - Ride

Hollywood Tower of Terror - Ride

Clock on the DisneyLand Hotel

Disney Castle

Even the windows inside the Castle are amazing...

Sleeping Beauty (Aurora) and Prince Phillip

On the day of my birthday, we took a trip into Paris to go and see the Eiffel Tower. It was amazing. I am so scared of heights so for me, this was very scary ... but I loved every minute of it and I would definitely do it again! The views from the top were beautiful, even though it was quite foggy!

That night, when we got back to DisneyLand, we went for a meal at a place called 'Buffalo Bills'. It is a very western style place. You get to watch a cowboy show (which Mickey and friends are in) and eat traditional Texan food. You get to have your photo taken with Mickey Mouse and you also get a free cowboy hat! If you go to DisneyLand, this is a must for you to do!

My boyfriend and I wearing our cowboy hats

To finish this post off I will show you some more of the photos of the Disney Castle I took. If you go, don't miss the shows they have on at the castle every night. They are absolutely breathtaking! It looks even more beautiful and magical at night time!

I had an absolutely amazing time at DisneyLand Paris. I went again 2 years later in 2013. But that time we went at Halloween. Both were incredible, but I have to say, I prefer the Christmas decorations! They even had fake snow coming from the roofs to make it feel more magical!

Thank you for stopping by to have a read ... I hope you enjoyed this post!

If any of you have been or are planning on going to DisneyLand Paris, or even Orlando, I would love to hear about it! Orlando is definitely next on my list!

21 Questions || Get to know me Tag

Hi Everyone! :)

Today I thought I would do a 'Get to know me Tag'. I think it's good to get to know the person behind the blog a bit more, and this is a perfect way to do that! I have enjoyed reading everyone else's and I hope you enjoy reading mine. Maybe we will have some-things in common!

1. Do you have a middle name?
I don't have a middle name. Just my first name and last name.

2. Do you have any pets?
I have a beautiful one year old cat named Ziggy, and two terrapins named Wiz and Squirt. I would love to get a puppy aswell!

3. Favourite Holiday?
Now this question can have two different meanings. Holiday has different meanings in English and American, so I'll answer both! My favourite holiday that I've been on would probably be DisneyLand Paris. I went for my 19th birthday 4 years ago in November and it was so magical! I loved it! - My favourite holiday during the year would have to be Christmas . I love everything about it! Its the best time of the year!

4. Do you speak any other language?
You would think I would since I did French as a GCSE at school. But no. Unfortunately I can't. I was not good at French then, and I'm not any better now. I would love to be able to speak another language though!

5. How many siblings do you have?
I have 3 siblings. I have an older sister and two younger brothers.

6. How tall are you?
I am 5'4 and the tallest girl on my mums side of the family!

7. Eye Colour?
 I have Hazel eyes.

8. Any Tattoos?
Yes. I have 4 tattoos. At the bottom of my back, on the back of my neck, on my ribs and on the inside of my wrist. I do want another one though!

9. What shoe size are you?
It depends on what shoes I am wearing. If I wear heels I am a size 3, but everything else I am a 4.

10. Do you drive?
I wish! No I don't drive. Yet. I am hoping to get my licence when I can afford it!

11. Who are some of your favourite YouTubers?
I actually have quite a few! Eva on mylifeaseva, Sara on SaraBeautyCorner, Zoe on zoella and Jesse and Jeana on  BFvsGF just to name a few!

12. How old will you be turning on your next birthday?
I will be 23 years old on my next birthday! :|

13. Hobbies?
Painting my nails, DIY crafts, reading, staying fit and of course Blogging!

14. Will you ever Bungee Jump?
Nooo!! I am terrified of heights so throwing myself of a bridge (or whatever you jump off) is not on my list of things to do. What if the cord snapped?!? No thank-you.

15. Favourite cereal?
Coco Pops. For sure! I love drinking the chocolate milk afterwards too! ... I'm such a child haha!

16. Summer or Winter?
Definitely summer! I don't like being cold so me and winter do not get on. The only thing I like about winter is Christmas time ... and it's my birthday in winter!

17. Scary movies or Happy endings?
I love a good scary movie, but I also love a happy ending! So I would have to say both. It really depends on what mood I am in.

18. If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
America. I have always wanted to travel around America. I don't really have a reason why, it's just something I want to do! Especially California!

19. What's your Zodiac sign?
 I am a Scorpio.

20. Do you wear any king of jewellery 24/7?
I do. I wear a silver heart locket necklace my boyfriend got me for my 21st birthday, and my Great Nannas' ring.

21. Do you have any phobias?
Spiders. In fact any kind of insect, I freak out if I see one near me! And heights. I just freeze and can not move if I am somewhere high. I think I'm just scared of falling. It won't stop me from having fun and experiencing things though! Even if it does mean I have to overcome my fear!

Well that's it. My 21 questions answered.

I hope that this post has helped you to get to know me a bit better and if you have anymore questions you want me to answer, leave a comment, or ask me on Twitter! My Twitter link is here. :)

I tag anyone who wants to have a go at doing a post like this ... It's really fun to answer the questions!

Deep Relaxation - Floatation Tanks

Hi everyone!

I hope you're all having a great weekend!

Today, I thought I would write a post about something I would love to try out, but haven't got round to yet. Some of you may already know about these .. and some of you may not, but either way, I am going to tell you about Floatation Tanks. What it is and all the amazing benefits that come from using them. I hope you enjoy!

Floatation Tanks were first used in 1954 to test the effects of sensory deprivation. They are now also used for meditation and relaxation and in alternative medicine.

Image result for floatation tank

The Floatation Tank contains a super-saturated Epsom Salt solution, which is about 25cm deep. This creates an environment similar to that of the Dead Sea, which lets you float effortlessly on water and enjoy a feeling of weightlessness.

The water is heated to skin temperature, so once you are settled, it almost impossible to tell which parts of your body are under water, and which aren't. This tricks your brain into thinking your floating in mid-air. The Epsom Salt solution effectively removes the effects of gravity on the body, making you feel almost completely weightless. This lets every single muscle in your body fully relax.

As the tanks are soundproof and the lights are either a calming blue or completely switched off, your mind will drift into a deep state of relaxation. These are the perfect place to have some much needed 'me' time. You have no distractions and you can forget about your problems or worries for a while and just relax. By yourself.

Now you will need to use these a few times before you can completely relax, but there are ALOT of beneficial effects from Floating. If I wrote them all, this post would probably never end (or I would be sat here for a very long time) so here are just a few;

  • Improves Sleep
  • Alleviates stress (mental and physical)
  • Increases motivation, diminishes depression, anxiety and fear
  • Facilitates freedom from habits, phobias and addictions
  • Relieves pain - arthritis, migraines, injuries and so on
  • Reduces blood pressure
  • Helps prevent sports injuries, speeds healing process
  • Improves skin condition
It costs around £45 for an hour of Floating time, which may seem like a long time, but it apparently goes alot quicker once your in there. With all the benefits it has, I think that it is well worth the money.

I would love to hear if any of you have tried a Float Tank, and what you thought of it? Did you enjoy it? Did you feel the benefits?

If you would like to know more about Floating, or read into more detail, you can click here.

Thank-you for taking your time to stop by my blog. I hoped you enjoyed today's post! :)

Disclaimer: I was not paid to write this post ... I am just really interested in Float Tanks and how they work.

Creative Outburst - Homemade Crafts

Hi everyone!

I love making things and being creative. It's such a nice feeling when you take your time to make well .. anything, and you get complimented on it or even asked to make it for  someone else!

So in today's post, I thought I would share with you some of the crafts I've made. Maybe this will help me get back into crafting as it's something I love and enjoy doing!

The first thing I will show you is this Chrysanthemum Mirror, made from plastic spoons, I made last summer. A friend liked it so much, that she asked me to make one for her, and then had me make 5 smaller ones in different colours for her work friends leaving do! I am very proud of this mirror and had fun making it. And it's not actually hard to make. It just takes some time but is absoloutly worth it! If you would Like to make this mirror, you can find the instructions here.

This next craft is made by crocheting. Once I learnt how to crochet, I loved to make headbands and hats for my neice and nephew. I will show you a few of the hats and one of the headbands I made. If you would like to see more, just let me know! ☺I learnt how to crochet from watching videos on YouTube.

Canvases. You can change the look of a room with just a few pieces of wall art. And you don't have to spend loads of money on them, you can just make them at home! For these canvases I made, I just bought some plain canvases from b&m and found some pictures on Google images to copy onto them and changed them up a bit to make my own version. I really enjoyed making these!

Next, these personalised plates were a hit at Christmas time! I had a lot of people ask me to make them for their children or grand-children. They are fun and easy to make and don't take too long!

I have also bought some glass etch, so that will be my next project. I'm really excited to see how the glasses turn out. I will be sure to let you know!

Thankyou for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed this post!

Let me know what you think or if you want to see more.

British Tag!!

Hi everyone!

I have seen a lot of bloggers and Youtubers doing 'The British Tag' and I have enjoyed reading/watching their answers. As I am British I thought I would have a go at doing it myself.

Hope you enjoy!

1. How many cups of tea do you have a day? How many sugars?
I don't actually drink tea. I know, not very British of me at all. I used to drink tea all the time, but then I started drinking coffee. I did have a coffee every morning as a kind of 'wake up' drink. I don't actually drink that much coffee anymore either, but if I do, I have 2 sugars.

2. Favourite part of your roast?
All of it. I have always loved a good Sunday roast, ever since I can remember! We used to go to my Nanna's every Sunday for a roast, and my Nanna cooks the best roast ever! And I always have to have mince sauce. I know your only meant to have it with pork, but I have it on all my roasts. Yum!

3. Favourite dunking biscuit?
This was a hard one because I like to dunk a lot of biscuits. The only reason I will have a cup of tea is if I fancy dunking some biscuits. I would have to narrow it down to two ... Chocolate Bourbons or Rich tea biscuits.

4. Favourite quintessentially British past-time?
Now I didn't even know what 'quintessentially' meant! So yes, I googled this question to see what came up. Out of them all I think I would have to say Afternoon Tea. I have never actually been for afternoon tea, but I have been for tea and scones. We went to this beautiful little shop that does serve afternoon tea, but we got bought tea and scones for two as a Christmas present. It had a lovely vintage vibe to it and I just loved it!

5. Favourite Word?
My favourite word would probably have to be 'Toodle-Pip', which means goodbye/see you later. It just sounds funny to say and sounds very 'posh'.

6. Cockney Slang?
I don't know that many Cockney Slang phrases as I'm not from London. But here are some that I do know..
Apples and Pears - Stairs
Boat Race - Face
Dog and Bone - Phone

7. Favourite sweet?
My favourite sweets would definitely have to be Haribos and Maoams.

8. Favourite shop/restaurant?
My favourite shop would probably have to be John Lewis. Just because it has everything there! There are so many floors and so much to buy, I could spend all day there. And it is always beautifully decorated and has amazing TV adverts at Christmas time!

9. Marmite?
No. Just no. You either love or hate marmite, and I hate it! It is disgusting! It doesn't even look nice!

So there you have it. My British Tag answers. I had so much fun answering these questions and you now know a little bit more about me!

If there are any questions you think would be good to answer on my blog, or you would like to know more about me, just let me know in the comments or on Twitter. You can find my Twitter here.

As always, Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed it!

Speak sooooon,

Summer Wish List

Hi everyone! ☺

As summer is creeping up on us so fast, I thought it would only make sense to make a 'Summer wish list'.

As much as I love winter, because winter means Christmas (and my birthday), I really don't like the cold. Don't get me wrong, I love snuggling up in front of the fire with a big cup of hot chocolate, but I am definitely more of a summer kind of girl. The lighter nights/mornings, the warm breeze, the smell of freshly cut grass, BBQ's ... I could go on forever.

I'm excited about doing this post for the first time, and at the end of summer, i'll do another post to see how much of my 'wishlist' I actually did! ☺

N°1.

I am loving the aztec pattern at the minute! It's just so fun and colourful. So yes, simethng Aztec is definitely on the list!

N°2.
I am really liking the cut out buckle Chelsea style boots! They are super cute ... I just wouldn't know how to style them! So any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I'm definitely looking at getting some! ☺

N°3.
Last year I really wanted a dungaree/pinafore dress but i never actually managed to get one. (Sigh) So this year it is one of my must haves! I just find them cute and super girly!

N°4.
Yes please!! I would love to own a polaroid camera! They just make things soo much easier! I also like the cute little pictures they produce ☺... And look at the colours you get to choose from!

N°5.
These little gold rings are just adorable! They can set off any outfit. They are definitely a summer must have!

There is still plenty more I would love to get for summer ... But I would literally be here all day if I put it all on here! These are just a few of my favorlurites.

I hope you've enjoyed reading this post as much as I have enjoyed making it! ☺

Shopping Haul

Hi everyone!

Welcome back to One Girls Obsessions, or if your new, welcome! I hope your all having a great weekend! :)

So I've seen lots of 'Hauls' on different blogs and vlogs and I thought it would be fun to do one myself! This is my first 'Shopping Haul' post, so if it's not perfect, I apologize in advance. I'll try my best to do it right! Anyway, I'm going to stop rambling on now and get started!

I live in a small town in the East Midlands of England and there really is not that many shops to shop at. 😢 But I'm going to share with you a few bits I did manage to pick up in town.

So the first thing I bought was Tea tree & Witch hazel Cleansing and Toning Lotion. All you do is soak a cotton wool pad and smooth it over your face. Reapeat this step until your face is completely clean. Use it morning and night for best results and follow with your favourite moisturiser. It gives your skin a deep cleansing without over drying and helps unblock your pores. It leaves your skin feeling refreshed and very soft!
Boots - £3.59

The cleansing and toning lotion had an offer on ... Buy one get one free. So I also picked up tea tree & witch hazel Peel off Face Mask. You apply a layer evenly over your face and leave for 10-15 minutes. Peel off and rinse with warm water to remove any remains. I haven't tried this product yet but I'm looking forward to see how it is!

The next thing I picked up was batiste dry shampoo. I asked on twitter how to add more volume to my hair and I had a reply telling me dry shampoo was great at adding volume. So I picked some up. I have tried this and was very pleased with the results. I will definitely be buying this again! I picked up the fruity and cheeky cherry one and I love it! So thanks DutyOfBeauty for the suggestion! :) (You can check out DutyOfBeautys blog here.)
Savers - £1.99

As I was browsing through the isles, I saw Simple eye make-up corrector pen. I just had to get this as I always manage to get mascara on my skin when applying it to my lower lashes! With a precision tip it is easy to use and gets rid of any mistakes you may make without ruining your make-up.
Savers - £1.00

Finally, I had to pick these bracelets up when I saw them. They are cute and colourful and I love them! Adding bits of jewellery to your outfits can really set it off! These are perfect for summer and I can't wait to wear them!
Peacocks - £4.00

So that's it for my Shopping Haul post. Just to let you know I will definitely be doing another post like this as I've enjoyed doing it!

Let me know what you think and if you liked it!

Thanks for stopping by to have a read!

Speak again soon! :)

Nail Designs

Hi everyone!! :)

Hope your all having a good day!

In todays post I thought I would share with you some of the nail designs I have used, that I did before I started blogging. So I don't have a tutorial for them but I will let you know for each one where I found them so if you like them you can head over and check out the tutorials! :)

N°1 -

I love this one as it is simple enough to do yet looks effective. When I did my nails like this alot of people complimented them and it's always nice when someone compliments your work! :) You can mix and match the colours to your liking and I just think this design is really cute and different! If you like it, you can find the tutorial here.

N°2 -
This one I really like because it's fun and bright. It looks like 3D circles, the way the black slightly shows behind the white circles. Again, you can choose any colour nail varnish for this design. You can find the tutorial for this one here.

N°3 -
This is probably my favourite desgn out of the four. It's cute and girly and perfect for the warmer months. I like how the gold glitter polish on the ring finger goes perfectly with the pink and white. And the little dotted bow is just adorable! If you want to try this design out, click here for the tutorial.

N°4 -
Last but not least, a nail design that I have just done today. There is no tutorial for this one as I just did it off the top of my head. Its simple though, just paint your thumb, pointer and pinky fingers a soild colour, and then paint your middle and ring finger nails white. Add multi coloured dots to the white nails and two black dots with smaller white dots inside on your other nails. Done! I love the colours of this design and just think it looks cute and perfect for summer time!

I hope you enjoyed this post and if you did be sure to click the follow button! :)

Let me know what you think and share your photos if you've tried or try any of the designs. I'd love to see your variations!

Thankyou for reading!

My personal Goals

Hi Everyone!!

Sorry I haven't posted in a while! I've been quite busy recently over the Easter period, but I will make sure I post more frequently now its over to make up for it.

Today I thought I would share with you my goals/dreams. For motivation to acheive them ...  and to see what you think. Maybe you could share some of your goals or dreams in the comments!

Anyway, lets get started ..

  • Own a car

Now for this one, it would help if I could actually drive! So first of all, I need to actually get a provisional and start doing lessons. But this is a big goal of mine. Driving gives you so much more freedom and alot more oppotunities. I don't actually have a specific car in mind, I just know I would like a nice, small car that will get me from A to B.
  • Travel
My dream places to travel to would be ..

  1. America
  2. Australia
  3. New Zealand
I would absoloutly love to go to America! I would like to travel around California. Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Hollywood, San Fransisco .. Just all over California. It's such a fun place with loads to do and it is one of my biggest dreams!

Australia is another place I would like to travel to. To climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge (even though I am terrified of hights!) and see the Sydney Opera House. It would be an amazing experience and leave me with some great stories to tell!

New Zealand. If I went to New Zealand, I would be sure to go Luging, Zip Lining and visit the wildlife to name a few! There are lots of thing to do in New Zealand, and it is such a beautiful place to visit. Who wouldn't want to go there?!

  • Work at an American Summer Camp

This would definatly be an experience of a lifetime! I would love to be able to do this. You get to work in America, doing activities with people from all over the world during the day and have a traditional campfire at night. Just making sure the kids you are looking after have a great summer! You get paid to have fun! I'm sure it would be hard work but it would definatly be worth doing! And to top it all off, at the end of your time at camp, you get 30 days to travel around America, wherever you want, with friends that you will have made while working at the camp. Amazing!

  • Volunteer with Wildlife abroad

I love animals. All animals. To work with widlife would be amazing. To help care for them and prepare them to be released back into the wild. There are some beautiful animals in the wild, and I think this would also be a once in a lifetime experience!

These are only a few of my dreams/goals. But they are the ones that I would most like to do before I get to 30. I have 8 years ... I think I can do this!

Thank you for coming back and if your new here, thankyou for reading!

Share some of your dreams or goals. I would love to hear them! Plus, I find it motivates you if you write them down. :)

Please feel free to share, comment or follow if you like my blogs. And let me know what you think!
